BUSY, Busy, Busy!!!

Posted in BOOTCAMP, Crossfit Personal Trainer in San Diego on November 25, 2008 by jpbolwahnn

The last couple days have been super busy for me.  Between managing the gym, training clients, running classes and doing the boot camp. It is sometimes hard to get a bite to eat or workout.  The best part of it all is that I love it.  Sometime I don’t even feel like I am at work.  It is so much fun to go to work and see people put out when they are working out.

The best part about today was seeing a client post on the Crossfit San Diego website about how much Crossfit has made an impact on his fitness.  His fitness has gone through the roof.  He is in better shape now at 37 years old, then he has ever been.  That is just Awesome!!!

The Boot Camp class is kicking ass.  They are really working hard.  We are in our 3rd week of training and I really turned up the heat on them the last few days.  I think they are feeling it, but loving it.  Crossfit San Diego Boot Camp is going to just get better and better.

Every day I sit and think of ways to try and make Crossfit San Diego a better place.  Little by little I try to implement thoughts and ideas into the gym.  Lately I have been getting compliments on how things are looking and going.  That really makes me feel good about what I am doing.  I look forward to taking CFSD and its clients to the next level!!!

Crossfit San Diego Bootcamp Class 1

This was originally posted on another link.  But I decided to bring it back to the main page because it was lost in all the other pages.  This is how the first day went for Crossfit San Diego’s first Boot Camp.  This particular group of people is awesome!  They are fired up, motivated, and support one another.  Makes a trainer like myself excited to train.  I look forward to each class with these guys.  Keep it up!!!

CFSD Boot Camp Class 1

CFSD Boot Camp started yesterday.  It was a great time.  I had 5 motivated and fired up trainees.  I explained to them a little about myself and Crossfit.  told them what they could expect out of the next 4 weeks and then got into a fitness test.  This is the results of the fitness test which will be compared to the results they get on their last day at boot camp.  I can’t wait to see the improvements!!!

Fitness test went like this:

  • 1000 meter row
  • pull ups
  • sit ups
  • push ups
  • 800 meter run

This is the results.

Nicole    (4:51)    (8big band)    (60)    (15m,29w)    (3:54)

Lauren    (4:10)          (1)            (58)   (15m, 35w)   (4:45)

Adam      (4:29)         (16)           (55)        (72)         (3:48)

Van         (4:46)  (3 small band)  (61)  (25m, 11w)    (4:50)

Karen      (4:24)  (3 small band)  (74)   (27m, 10w)   (4:37)

This was a perfect place to start with this group.  They really got me fired up.  One thing I really liked in particular was how they were motivating and supporting each other through the exercises.  It really makes for a great and fun atmosphere to train in.  WAY TO GO GUYS!!!  SEE YOU WEDNESDAY!!!

Only a few days before the Bootcamp kicks off!!!!

Just a reminder that starting November 3rd 7pm at Crossfit San Diego we will be holding a Boot camp that will be ran by yours truly……me.

The Bootcamp is going to focus on general conditioning.  We will be doing running, rowing, calisthenics, weightlifitng, gymnastics, all kinds of fun things to keep your body moving.  At the same time we will cover the 9 fundamental movements of Crossfit along with other basic Crossfit movements.  This is perfect for the first time Crossfitter or someone that just might want to give it a try.  We will keep it basic and at a level that is comfortable for you, the client.  We will also be going over some nutritional guidance along with handing out some sample meal plans.

My goal at the end of the 4 weeks is that you leave stronger, more confident, and closer to your fitness goals.  At the end of the 4 weeks for a limited time, you will have a chance to join CFSD without having to take the mandatory foundations sessions.  This Bootcamp is a steal!!!

Contact me ASAP if you plan on attending!!!!

That’s right Crossfit San Diego will start holding boot camps.  They will encompass basic fitness and some basic Crossit movements.  The Crossfit San Diego bootcamp will challenge you and is designed to leave you in better shape then when you came in.  We will hand out Crossfit Journals with meal plans and nutritional information.

My goal is that after 4 weeks of training 3 to 4 times a week that you see and more importantly feel results.  It will be a lot of fun.  We are shooting for a November 1st start date (depending on the number of people interested).  Training sessions will last about 1 hour and will start at 7pm Mon, Wed, Fri, and Saturdays being optional.

Bootcamp price $299
